　　闽侯县地处福建省东部，福州市西南侧，闽江下游两岸。

　　闽侯历代曾作为王都、郡治与府州驻节地，素有“八闽首邑”之美誉，

　　是“中国橄榄之乡”“中国根艺之乡”。

　　距今5000多年的昙石山史前文化生根于此，闽侯是福建海洋文明的发源地。
